BEATSFEST
BeatsFest Logo Design Student Project 2024
BeatsFest was a class project focused on branding, where I was tasked with creating a logo for a fictional music streaming service. The process began with in-depth research on the target audience and analysis of competing brands such as Spotify and Apple Music. This helped me identify what design elements resonate with users in the music streaming space and which ones to avoid. Using this research, I explored several logo concepts, iterating through multiple versions. My instructor acted as the “client,” providing feedback throughout the process to simulate a real-world client-designer relationship. This collaborative feedback loop played a key role in refining the final design. The completed logo features three variations of a clean, abstract symbol that subtly incorporates the letters “B” and “F” from the BeatsFest name. The design avoids being overly literal, instead focusing on a modern, energetic feel. I used bright, neon-inspired colors to reflect the brand’s fun, youthful identity and to appeal directly to its target audience. This project showcases my ability to combine research, iteration, and thoughtful design choices to create an engaging, brand-appropriate visual identity.
